Pontiac will
allegedly introduce a production version of the striking 2017 Firebird concept
before the end of 2016.
The 2017 Firebird concept was presented
by Pontiac at last month's North American International Auto Show and shortly
after its unveileing Pontiac dropped a few hints about a potential production
model. Now, FirebirdPontiac.Com says sources within Pontiac have told them a
production model will happen and the car could hit dealerships towards the end
of the year.
The exterior styling has already been
completed and will reportedly stay true to the New 2017 Firebird concept
while the interior is still being worked on since the concept's cabin was a bit
futuristic. Details are not known about what will power Pontiac's rear-wheel
drive coupe but we remind you the 2017 Firebird concept came with a 4-cylinder,
2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine with 315 bhp (235 kW) coupled to a close-ratio
six-speed manual gearbox.
